Metro Photo Challenge 2013 for Metro US

Launched globally for the first time in 2007, the Metro Photo Challenge has become an annual Metro event for both professional and amateur photographers. In 2013 photographers were asked to enter photos in any of six sense-categories with a global grand prize of exploring West Africa as a Metro photo reporter.
I created the campaign for Metro US, which included a rotation of six in-print ads, Facebook branding, and e-newsletters. I also specifically made the ads interactive by adding Blippar, an app that allows smartphones and tablets to interface with content.

The interactive Blippar screen customized to each ad with custom Metro buttons. The reader was able to play one of six customized videos, access the photo challenge website or gain more information about the contest on the Metro website.
